There is nothing more satisfying than harvesting my own food!
I love the taste and the freshness, but mostly the sheer convenience of having fresh food just outside my back door. This is not about complete self-sufficiency – I have tried that, and it is almost impossible unless you are in the garden full time. Instead, this book is about being able to go out into the garden and being able to pick something to eat every day.
This book compiles what I have learnt from the past 40 years of growing my own food and to demonstrate what is possible in a garden, or outdoor space, of any size.
With a little planning you can have some fruit and vegetable production all year, but be able to provide for most of your fruit and vegetable needs during the abundant months in summer and autumn.
